COMMUNITY GROUPS
When you consider how Scripture describes the formation and change that happens as someone follows Jesus and how Christians are called to live with each other, it could never happen if we are only together once a week!
This is why our Community Groups are so important. This is where the people of our church share our lives with each other and are shaped by the gospel together so that we can lead others to love, know and obey Jesus with us.
Our goal for Community Groups is not just that people would get along with each other (though we often do!), but for Community Groups to be one of the primary places where discipleship happens. This means we look for three things to be happening in the life of each Community Group:

When Jesus calls people as disciples, He calls them into community. Community Groups are where we are in regular proximity and deep personal relationships with people who are drawn to the same Savior and Lord as we are, but who are otherwise very different than us in terms of age, ethnicity, and economic status. Many of our Community Groups meet weekly or bi-weekly for a meal, and otherwise come to be involved in each others lives just like brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and grandparents would be!

Jesus call for His disciples to follow Him is a call to be with Him. Therefore the life of a Community Group needs to involve time that is oriented towards Jesus, whether that is in discussion, prayer, worship or Scripture.

Disciples of Jesus make disciples who make disciples. Therefore, our Community Groups seek to be active in serving people who do not know Jesus and leading others to know and love Jesus with us.
